Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a 32-year-old working mom of three little kids, which means my life is very full, usually loud, and almost always involves someone asking me for a snack.
And I genuinely love this season of life.
I love raising my babies. I love making a home for my family, feeding people, having friends around our table, getting dressed in clothes I actually like, and finding small ways to make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little more special.
Motherhood has also been the most refining season of my life. It has changed me in ways I expected and plenty of ways I didn’t. I’m deeply grateful for this life, and I’m still figuring out how to live it well - how to care for my family, do meaningful work, make a home, stay connected to myself, and not realize at 4:45 that everyone in my house apparently expects dinner again.
That’s a lot of what you’ll find here.
So, what is Supper Notes?
Supper Notes started with a very practical problem: figuring out what to cook every single week.
I genuinely love food. I love trying recipes, tweaking them, feeding my family, and gathering people around the table. But I also have a full-time job and three little kids, so dinner has to work in real life.
Every Friday, I share my plan for the week ahead - realistic dinners, an easy lunch or breakfast idea, recipes, links, prep notes, and the little things I’m doing to make the week run a little more smoothly.
Not a perfectly optimized meal plan. Not seven elaborate dinners made from scratch.
Just what I’m actually cooking, what my family will actually eat, and the notes I’d text a friend along the way.
You’ll also find recipes worth repeating, a growing recipe archive, and simple hosting ideas for gathering your people without making yourself miserable in the process.
But it’s not only about supper.
Because if we were actually friends, we probably wouldn’t only talk about food.
We’d talk about motherhood - how much we love it, how much it changes us, and how some seasons can be deeply beautiful and deeply hard at the same time.
We’d talk about working and raising kids. Routines that help. Systems that are saving me right now. Things I tried that absolutely did not work.
We’d talk about what we’re wearing, what we’re loving, what we bought and would actually buy again. We’d talk about having people over, the little traditions our kids might remember, and how to make a full life feel special without pretending it’s always perfectly put together.
Basically, Supper Notes is the stuff I’d send you if we were friends in real life.
A recipe worth making.
My plan for next week’s dinners.
A dress I can’t stop wearing.
Something motherhood is teaching me.
A hosting idea that looks impressive but is secretly very easy.
The system currently keeping one tiny corner of my life from falling apart.
Why subscribe?
Because I hope Supper Notes can make your life feel a little easier and a little more special.
Maybe you find dinner for Tuesday night. Maybe you finally invite friends over because the menu feels doable. Maybe you find something to wear that makes you feel like yourself again. Maybe you read something about motherhood and think, yes, me too.
My hope is that opening a note from me feels like catching up with a friend — the kind where you swap dinner ideas, send each other links, admit what is absolutely not working, and usually end up talking about five different things at once.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love to have you here.
xx, Ashley
